Electrodiagnostic assessment and neuromuscular opinion.

Referrals are accepted from clinicians and allied healthcare professionals.  A finalised report is returned to the referrer within 7 working days.

Diagnostics for disorders of nerve and muscle

Nerve conduction studies and electromyography localise and characterise disorders of peripheral nerve and muscle, informing diagnosis and onward management.

Electrodiagnostic assessment of peripheral nerve and muscle, performed and interpreted by the consultant.

Neuromuscular Disorders

Assessment of muscle disease, neuromuscular junction disorders, and unexplained weakness.

Peripheral Nerve Disorders

Carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar neuropathy, peripheral neuropathy, nerve injuries, and other entrapment neuropathies.

Motor Neurone Disease

Specialist consultation, assessment and electrodiagnostics of suspected motor neurone disease and other related conditions.

Nerve conduction studies and EMG help diagnose conditions affecting the peripheral nerves, muscles and neuromuscular junction.

Findings are  interpreted in the context of your clinical history and examination.

ABOUT DR FOO

Dual-accredited specialist in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology

Dr Shaun Foo is a Consultant Neurologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, with sub-specialist clinical practice in peripheral nerve disorders, neuromuscular disorders, and motor neurone disease.

He holds certificates of completion of training (CCT) in both neurology and clinical neurophysiology. In practice, this ensures your consultation, clinical assessment, and the electrodiagnostic studies are undertaken and interpreted by the same specialist.

Alongside his NHS and private clinical practice, he is Co-Director of the Leeds Motor Neurone Disease Care Centre, and holds an honorary senior lectureship at the University of Leeds Medical School.
